Where can I find new EBOOKS?

I can't find ebooks on Amazon any more. I just keep seeing kindle book formats. Where can I go to buy electronic formats of new books to read on my computer? I use icebookreader when I can and enjoy the custom fonts and backgrounds that make reading very comfortable on my eyes without costing $400 like kindle.|||Ebooks.com is a great source for both fiction and non-fiction ebooks. Most electronic products (tv's, vcr's, dvd players etc.) are black. So are the instructions on them. Why?

When I try to hook up a tv, vcr, dvd player or a similar product it is extremely difficult to read the hookup instructions written on it because it is the same color (usually black) as the machine. My eyes aren't in the best of shape but when I was younger and my vision was better I still had problems reading the print on the back of a tv or vcr. Am I the only one that has that problem? Why can't they put white print on a black product? Makes more sense.|||I have never seen a product like that. They usually print in black or white if the product is black. It doesn't come with an instruction book or anything?





Usually they tell exactly where everything is on the product. Either by pictures or a description.|||I'm afraid that the person who answered my question didn't understand it. If a television set is black and has a variety of hookups in the back (e.g. ant. in, ant. out, video in etc.) that are written in black, they are very difficult to read.

How does this occur in remote?

while we watch the electronic system's remote signal light (like an LED facing towards the front) through a camera (even a mobile camera will do) it glows whenever we give a operation on remote. but it is not visible by naked eye.

The fun part is , if you really see this then your camera is IR sensitive [which is not same for a lot of other cameras]..so you can start infrared photography...just do some search about it..its wonderful..

3. Intro hawk eye. (electronic video review of the latest ref's decision). The captains would be allowed to call for hawk eye up to 3 wrong calls per half. And if happen that ref was wrong more than 3 times per half, then that ref should be taken of the list, and sent back to write the test.|||1) Goal Line Technology such as Hawk Eye, or a video referee (like in rugby)





2) No booking for players taking their shirts off (a ridiculous rule)

I am not getting good answers from airlines /tsa site/or yahoo travel on carry on ?

No can tell me specific information about what you can and cannot take on airlines checked in baggage. I already know about the shampoos,hair gels,toothepaste and colognes that you can't carry in your carry on,but they can't tell me if I can carry them in my checked in bags?


Also I wear contact and need my extra contact lens cases ,and saline solutions because my eyes dry out when I fly while wearing contacts..,I dont' have any glasses so please don't suggest to wear my glasses.


Film and cameras are iffy,I guess I can carry them on carry on,from what I read but no one can tell me for sure .


What the hell is going on ?


What about my keys,my electronic keys ..??can I put them in my luggage,one lady says they might throw them away..


What would I do without my keys? I would not be able to drive home and get into my home either...????

On the key issue - I think it's the key fob you can't have. The physical key is ok. Don't really know what to recommend on the spectacles problem - you may just have to buy some cheapies to get through the flight.

You can NOT have saline for your contacts on the flight, nor can your contacts case have saline in it. You can not have car keys with any type of "remote" system. You can not have razors, nail clippers, files, scissors, or any other sharp object. You can not have lighters of any kind for any reason. Cameras and film are allowed but are likely to be damaged and I recommend you put them in your checked baggage.|||I am not sure about checked items either. About your contact solutions, you are just going to have to either get glasses between now and your flight, or take out your contacts. I'm told that electronic items are fine to carry on in the U.S.|||Perhaps this notice from Southwest Airlines will help.

Baby formula or breast milk, if a baby or small child is traveling, and prescription medicine with a name that matches the Customer's name (along with insulin and essential other non-prescription medicines) can be carried onboard and are subject to inspection at the checkpoint.





Electronic items (including notebook computers, MP3 players, PDAs, etc.) are allowed through the security checkpoint, and all carryon items are subject to additional screening. What is a good paintball marker for $500 or less?

I've been reading most of the reviews here and I'm still debating on what I should get. The Ion has deffinettly caught my eye but I don't want to get hasty. I want to still get your feeback on what I should get.





I'm looking for a marker that will handel woodsball and speedball. It needs to be semi-auto, electronic, light, maintainable, and will do me good for awhile





Thank you|||I know the Ion sounds pretty good, I have one my self but it had host me an additional 300 to upgrade for me to be happy. Also with the Ion it does not come with a locking feed neck, the stock one sucks you'd have to sand down your hopper stem to make it fit. I bought a trinity locking feed neck for about 40. I'm now looking at a Proto Rail, 400 with tax. Out of the box it shoots as fast as my Ion and comes with a locking feed neck, pretty cool huh. I just don't like the trigger, it has a rubber thingie on it. Easy fix though with a razor, also it's easier to clean. Hope this helps.|||I like the autococker myself, but when I paintballed I had an Automag. I like the cocker now because it uses a low-pressure-high-volume propulsion method which helps the ball travel further and with a flatter trajectory. The automag was good and fast, but didn't have the accuracy or range of a cocker, because it uses a high-pressure-low-volume propulsion method which "smacks" the ball out of the barrel, making for less range and unpredictable accuracy at times.





But low-pressure-high-volume is the way to go. cockers and angels use this, but angels are over a G for a gun, and cockers range, but for a good one you'll pay over a G as well. Look around. Buy a good starter and just upgrade as you go.|||if you want a good marker go with the ION you can get everything you need for under $500, they are good guns and easy to maintain. the Auto cocker would be better for acurasy, but they can be hard to fix.

The commercial shows clips of some movies including a clip of AVATAR. Can you see the NorAD satellite with the naked eye?

We've just seen a large orange light move over my house at a fairly reasonable spead, it was flickering, so it wouldn't indicate that it was a plane. However, the light did dim as the object passed over which indicates to me it was something electronic. I know the North-american Aerospace Defence (NorAD) have a Santa tracker which would be my guess, but can you actually see the satellite? It was much larger than the ISS! Your thoughts would be appreciated as it's bewildering my family! For now, yes, I have seen a UFO :-)|||NORAD has surface (earthbound) radar locations for tracking space objects. Some satellites do that too, but not with the precision of the radar screens and computers. Most satellites look for rocket launches, aircraft, and activities on the ground.


NORAD and the USAF every year gives a bit of Xmas fluff to the news outlets about "tracking an object on Xmas eve that may be Santa Claus". You can see this on a lot of news and weather reports on TV. This activity is for public relations only.


There are no tracking satellites that you can see with your naked eye. Don't you think that enemies of the US and Canada (members of NORAD) would be able to schedule unfriendly activities around passages of "tracking satellites" that they could see by eye?


An object moving fairly rapidly across the sky and dimming out as it went into earth's shadow was a large satellite. www.heavens-above.com will give you passages of naked eye satellites over your location for any time you enter. The orange color could have been reflections of sun off solar panels. Do you think the concept of the movie Eagle Eye can happen in real life?

This movie was an amazingly logical movie. With the right technological platform, I personally believe it could happen in the future. But to the people who say a system like that could already exist, I usually disagree because not that many things around cities are really "online" or connected to one another.





For those who haven't seen it, basically, it’s about a very advanced computer system that helps government operations, but the system gets too smart and “calculates” that the senate and president are not good enough to lead this country and “calculates” that they need to be eliminated. So it stops listening to human operators and starts chaos on its own.





Because the system has access to wireless phone networks and GPS and stuff, it’s really powerful. Every public camera, electronic sign, and traffic light is connected to it somehow.





What do you think? Could it happen?|||i think its already happening|||I think it could happen, in the future maybe not now. everything is not that advanced yet but i don't think it would take too long for technology to get to that point.|||I took a class in college that was taught by an ex-special forces operative. Long story short, when he was still active there was a system called "Condor" that was developed to track the electronic media in California, including cell phones, internet searches, phone calls, etc... which was designed to scan everything for key words like bomb, terrorist, etc... Well this was around the same time as the Patriot Act was passed so the invasion of privacy was not an issue. So the government turned on and tested this "Condor" information gathering program for a short time in CA and were able to successfully monitor 99% of all electionic media at one time; being able to hear and see everything that we do. Now this was several years ago, and technology has advanced extremely far since then so just imagine the probabilities now. So the monitoring of everything is 100% true, but the implimentation of changing street signs, and scrolling marquees i think is unprobable. But i wouldnt put it passed the government to do whatever they was in the name of "National Security." But no matter what, someone is always watching and listening whether we know it or not.

Electronic stimuli for the blind?

with the advances in electronics i was wondering if science has found a way to send pictures to the brain through wires attached some how to the brain or through the eyes. just wondering if this could allow vision for the blind at least of pictures that are sent.|||There actually is a lot of research and advancement in this. They have developed computer chips small enough to be implanted into the eye/orbital socket and can translate light stimulation into electrical impulses.





Granted, its not advanced enough to cure blindness, but they are making progress.

Seriously, what makes people think they don't have to obey the airplane rules on electronic devices?

I have sat next to people who actually take cell calls on takeoff and landing, turn on wireless e-mail, send texts, and one guy whipped the finger at an attendant who told him he needed to shut his iPod down for landing. I just got into a fight with a guy when I asked him why he turned his blackberry on before we touched down. His answer? "I always do it and the plane has never crashed."





I kid you not.

I've looked everywhere and can't find the song. I heard it playing at nordstroms. I also remember hearing it in a movie a few years ago. Part of the lyrics are the same as "If you don't know me by now" but it is not the exact same and it is sung by a female singer. It is definitely not the song by simply red, teddy pendergrass or old-time bands. Does anyone know what song I'm talking about? It has a little bit of an electronic/alternative sound to it. The girl's voice sounds a little foreign as well and I'm guessing she may be european or asian. Help i trimed my eye brows?

okay well i did what i normally did when i trim them with the little electronic thing i always do it the same take a few of the hairs underneath of the brow and trim the ones in the front that grow tall well my hand wasn't steady as normal i ended up with one with a huge chunk out of it and one a small chunk out of it what should i do i don't color them and my eyebrow color is weird you can't find a color to cover it up cause its so weird what should i do??


also i haft to work tomorro evening and the really cute guy is going to be there the whole time im working|||Eyebrow pencil..|||Use an eyeshadow color, it doesn't necessarily have to match your eyebrow color exactly. Choose a color with a cool undertone so your eyebrows don't look red, and a matte shadow to look more natural. If you have very blonde or light brown eyebrows use a light taupe eyeshadow, if you have redish eyebrows use a medium brown eyeshadow, dark hair use an eye shadow a few shades lighter than your eyebrows. Fill them in using an angled eyeliner brush with small, feather like strokes. Otherwise, you are out of luck.|||Well just try to find a color and if u cant then try to even them out and if that dosent help then i guess disquse yourself and then next time he comes in and your eyebrows r regular then be yourself its happend to me girl|||go over and draw them in with an eyebrow pencil or eyeliner will work too...go over your whole brow and then the chunk|||one time my friend did that and i fixed it with a eye brow pencil and some clear mascara. hope this helps (:|||sharpie|||well your best bet is to find some makeup

I'm dying to find out the name of those little pets you could buy at walmart or places like that, NOT TAMAGOCHI'S. They weren't even close. They were actually little animals. Not little gadgets. Ever heard of an electronic pyramid-shaped toy which required players to solve 100 levels of logical puzzles?

I've asked this question before, and had no responses. So I thought I'd try again. Hard to describe, but I'll try my best: it's a black pyramid with 5 'steps' on the front. Each step, from bottom to top, was a color from the rainbow. The top (or the 'eye') of the pyramid was a white light that flashed if you solve a puzzle correctly.


The puzzles ranged from math, poetry, music, and rythym patterns. To solve each puzzle to move on to the next level, you have to listen to the computer (from the toy) for instructions, or press any of the steps to figure out what you need to solve.

Ive seen a lot of soldiers in the middle east without hearing protection which could really cause some problems in the long run (like my step grandfather, he was an artillery man in the Korean War era; he has to wear hearing aids now, cause he didn't use protection).

problem with electronics is that its subject to possible failure on so many levels, especially electronic hearing devices. they can pick up distortion and make u unable to hear anything, they're sensitive to water, and their battery can run out. its always best to go with something simple when you can, and resort to electronics only when it has a clear advantage that cannot be reached through non electronic means and has a back up if possible. take soldiers who use the EOTech. behind it is a backup iron sight just incase it breaks or the batteries die.

Why do electronics have blue lights?

I've noticed most electronic equipment nowadays come with blue lights, and they seem really intense on the eyes. Do the lights seem strong to anyone else besides me?|||Because anything that's obnoxiously conspicuous is "cool."

Which telescope is best for a beginner?

I am looking to get into astronomy. I am currently looking to get involved in star parties in my area. I have been looking for info on telescopes to invest in. Not cheap but not expensive- $500 max would be my limit (WITH any extra accessories I may need such as a protective case).

Of course, you seem a little bit more than a beginner, even though you may have never touched a telescope, so maybe looking at your local mall or one of these 4 that you have listed.


I think an electronic one would be cool, like with the auto find features and such....and software program


The Galileo one sounds interesting|||I'd recommend your first choice, the Orion SkyQuest XT6 (or better still, the XT8). The other three are tiny refractors which will frustrate you from the beginning and you'll soon outgrow, since it sounds like you're serious about this. You might consider the IntelliScope versions of these scopes, as these have computer locators which are helpful if you've got a bunch of schoolkids witimg to look at something! I have the IntelliScope XT6 myself, and like it a lot. I would buy direct from Orion, rather than through another dealer:

Getting in touch with local clubs is an excellent idea, as they will give you good advice and let you look through a bunch of different scopes. Also, for good online help, try the group below: much more mature and much more solid advice than Yahoo Answers.|||yes it is a good choice taking astronomy i to like this so i think u can buy an orient telescope and u can appl for NASA|||I am in exactly the same position as you, and will be watching this answer with interest. My budget is also $500 max for a first purchase, and will be wanting to add a USB interface so it can be computer driven (though obviously this will be an added expense).





My thoughts so far were to buy a reflector as opposed to a refractor. I will be interested in what others think on this thought.|||I like the second and the last one.








The galileo is probably the best for beginners, while the astroquest (albeit more expensive) is a great scope that will live you well past the beginner phase of your hobby.





That said, all of these telescopes I would probably consider suitable for intermediate and upwards users. I would only buy one of these if you were really serious about getting into astronomy.

What electronic drum kit would you recomend?

I've been searching through some of guitar centers items, and im lowing for a lower priced Electronic drum kit(equal to 1000 or less). I am a semi new drummer I'd say about 6 months of playing. From what I saw though, once you do get good your looking for more toms and cymbals so it kind of seems to pay off if you just get the ones with more items and even if your not a pro at using it you can improve on it. I've had my eyes on simmons drums for a while because it offers a lot without having to spend a lot. Any suggestions or comments?|||Here is a good link that can fit your budget easily.

I would suggest the Alesis USB Pro which has a heck of a sound. My drummer owns 3 of them at the studio and I have to admit the Alesis cymbals sound so real and you can even tune the drum heads.|||Yamaha make a decent one but toooooo expensive. I go with the top poster on the Alesis. Awesome drum and YES, I own a Mapex and Alesis. The fun part is that I can actually tune my skins lol.

Electronic books vs. paper book?

First, I have to say that I absolutely LOVE to read. My soul needs to read as much as my body need to breathe. I buy a new book almost every week and I always beg my mom to take me to the public library. But lately, alot of people seem to use devices like Nook or the Kindle to read books and I'm been kind of tied between them. Everyone keeps saying I should get a Nook because I can take all my books anywhere with me and I won't have to worry about paying almost 20$ for a hardback book. My books won't get torn or messed up because they'll be on a computer and it's environmentally friendly because trees won't be cut down to make paper. That last example is a big one because I really care deeply about the environment. But the thing is that I can't stare at any electronic screens for an hour without getting a slight headache. I like to read my books from start to finish in one setting, so that'd be a pain for me. And what if I can't charge the Nook? Then all my books are so near but concealed from my eyes. Paper books are without technology. It will make me feel dependent on technology, which I hate because I don't like the idea of anyone ever needing technology. And you may call me conservative, but I'm very fond of the printed word. It's the way books have been made for thousands of years, and a file on a computer is not a book.





So, I'm really confused here. The Nook is environmentally friendly and can hold ALL my books so I don't need to take up space in my bag with a few hardback or paperback books (because I need at least 3 lol) but my heart is for paper books. What should I do?

I have no desire whatsoever to get an electronic thingy-ma-bob to read my books on. I like real paper books...I like being able to see them on my bookshelves, the non-fiction ones neatly ordered according to subject, and the fiction ones by author then chronologically (lol, I'm a little anal)





Yeah, I get the whole environmental thing, but the fact is, the trees used to make paper are planted for that exact purpose. The more that are used, the more are planted...Plus trees store carbon, so using wood for building, or for making paper IS environmentally friendly...





Books for me, will always be paper and ink, not LED lights and fancy do-dads...Called me old fashioned, but its paper books all the way...


So, I suck it up, and carry a messenger bag...it comfortably fits several books (all carefully protected in their own bags...again, anal lol) and a notebook for my own novel...|||I also love to read. I personally prefer reading actual books, but I do own a Kindle. It is much more convenient, since in my town there isn't a very wide selection of bookstores. If you do decide to get an e-Reader, get the Kindle or the Nook, not the NookColor. The kindle and regular Nook have e-Ink screens, so they look like real paper. The problem with most screens (like that of the NookColor) is that they have a backlight which is what gives you the headache. If the size of the screen gives you a headache (you can change the font size, though), you can get a Kindle DX which is larger that the regular Kindle and the Nook. As to your worry about not being able to charge it, it only takes a few hours to completely charge and the charge will last for at least 2 weeks, maybe 2 months! Sometimes I worry about buying most of my books electronically. Obviously Amazon and the Kindle won't be around forever, so I'll lose all those books eventually. Some people think books will disappear completely. I think that would take a long time, though. If it was easier to only read paper books, I would. Part of the joy of reading is the smell and feel of the book!

Has anyone used any of the lighted fishing lures or any lures with fiber optic eyes? Do these really work?

I fish on the upper Mississippi River and am curious if anyone else has tried these lighted lures. Some are called LED and other brands are called electronic. Some have replacable batteries and some don't. These lures are more expensive than "regular" fishing lures,but if they actually attract the fish into biting, they would be worth it. Thanks for any info.|||I would be wary of the lures themselves, I'm not saying don't buy them if you want them. It's your hard earned money. Just don't invest a whole lot of money at first. Only buy the ones that relate closest to your fishing style. I've never used these lures but I've read mixed reviews about them. My only personal experience was night fishing with lighted bobbers. I've been trying to find the right a style but I'm not really sure. I'm kinda new to the electronic music scene (just transitioned from metal) and I'm not really familiar with the styles and subgenres. What we humans see with our eyes is it reality?

Our vision is limited and controlled. Presume we had enlarged vision like what we view in an electronic microscope we would be able to see millions of germs in a cup of water and would not drink it.We could see the parasites that live on human bodies and would not like to go near our partner and visa versa.


So the fact of the matter is that what we see is not reality is it not.?|||yes reality sometimes; and sometimes stupidity|||I think what we see is reality. I mean, dogs, chimps, all kinds of animals see things the way we do only with different color perception..we can't all be blind to "reality".|||no its reality, its just the full scope of everything in the area. same how snakes heat sensors are link to the part of teh brain that controls sight. So a snake can actually see heat overlaps on what ever there eyes are looking at. does that mean the heat isnt there|||What we see is reality.





Just because we cannot see things at an atomic level, a microscopic level or a chemical level, doesn't mean that it's not happening. Becuase science has advanced so much, we now acknowledge, realize and accept that there is more to life than what the eye can see.





If we could see the germs in a cup of water, would we drink them? Perhaps that would be a personal decision. Today, many people realize that there are germs everywhere, yet they still go on and live their lives normally.





What alot of people don't realize is that bacteria does more good than harm, and therefore we shouldn't be so freaked out about it. Millions of microbes live within us, and we know this, yet we cannot see it without visual aids.





So therefore, while our vision is indeed limited, our knowledge has no boundaries. Learning is a dynamic process, what one decideds to do with new information that is obtained is strictly up to the learner, even blind people benefit from this fact. Think about that.|||What we perceive with our minds as reality is reality....for us. Everyone has his own reality based on his own perceptions.





Right now all you are are just avatars to me, is that who you are? My perception at this moment is my reality, it's quite different from yours where you are you and not avatars on a screen.|||What we see is real enough inasmuch as it can be proven to exist through our other senses. We can touch objects that we see if they are close enough. The fact that you cannot touch the bird flying by doesn't make it any less real.





This question is more one of philosophy than biology. There are various realities, each is valid for a given set of circumstances. The reality of the microscopic world that exists around, on and in us is by and large relatively benign. Because we have developed alongside and with the microscopic creatures we tend to exist in harmony. Not all of what we cannot see is harmful. Similarly, there are large entities in the world that are potentially deadly and deserve at least as much consideration as the microscopic.|||Reality is subjectively interpreted by the individual ; the "same" question that you posted and you see is not the "same" as I see it for the context in which our 'shared' reality is cognitively recognized subject to variant interpretation/perception .

I had to write a research paper last year for a college history class called "Technology is Creating a 21st Century Slave Culture". It was on the affects of technology on society. It is such an interesting topic and people get so defensive about it. Its definitely a two-sided debate and I could argue for either side: technology is advancing the world and making it better VS technology will be the downfall of us all.

I need help with my article for the University Club Newsletter at the start of the coming semester. I'm a little dubious at the closing of the article and would appreciate suggestions. My horse is acting very strange?

I think he was abducted and the aliens forgot to remove the anal probe. I mean, we all make mistakes right? Now he is twitching and ticking and he has these small metal robotic arms coming out of his rear.





I know it was aliens because they left crop circles in my marijuana field (I grow for medical use! So no smart remarks). Anyway, those darn aliens ruined my crop and probed my horse. I think they are coming for me next, the robotic arms have some sort of electronic eye in them and it keeps squinting at me.





What should I do? Call the vet? Remove it myself? I already have my thought screen helmet on, don't worry. Should I worry about radiation poisoning? I have no clue what is in this thing, I just know it seems kinda pissed. What should I do to convince the aliens to stop landing in my marijuana field and harassing my livestock?|||Dude shes saying your a troll. Witch you are. Now if your horse is sick get it to a vet. I used on my face an EMS device(passive gym),I saw flashes sparks and i turned off. I got floater in right eye

I got a floater on my right eye and i hated myself after that because i used an EMS device (Electronic Muscle Stimulator) that used for passive gym on my face for face muscle tonic. When i switched on the device i saw immediatelly flashing sparks and quickly i turn it off. After that i got the floater which i noticed the other day when i wake up. The doctor gave me ACULAR using 1 drop 3 times a day and told me that with time the floater will go away but that not happened yet ! I'm in the third week now. I'm 34 years old and never had any problems with my eyes and never smoked and eating healthy.|||IF the doctor says it will go away eventually, it most likely will. 3 weeks is just not enough time. Call and ask what timeframe to expect!|||Trust your doc but verify. Go for the second opinion. by the way do you like those devices and do they work?

What causes my garage door opener to not want to close at times?

I have a Sears Craftsman garage door opener and sometimes as you push the button to close the door will start to close then right away go back up. No it's not anything in the electronic eye indicating that something is in the way. It just does this once in awhile. Sometimes after a dozen attempts to try to close it, it will then finally go down. It's like it has a mind of it's own. I should not have to adjust any sensor as it does work most of the time. But it is very annoying when it does happen.|||It sounds like it might be binding a bit. When was the last time it was lubricated? The Door Opener has a Torque setting that will cause the door to reopen, when closing, if it is binding.


I would say that either the setting is too tight or you may need to lubricate the drive mechanism or the door wheels.


Get some spray lubricant of some sort, silicone based would be good, and spray the center of each Wheel located on the sides of the Garage door. Then spray the length of the chain or screw depending upon which type of opener you have. If that does not work it is probably the Torque setting and I am unable to tell you how to adjust that without seeing your manual. It should be some screw adjustments on the side or back of your opener. One will be for Opening and the other for Closing. Adjust the Closing.


If it is a Chain Drive the Chain may have streched and need to be tightened. This happens with age.

Does anyone know where i can buy replacement remotes for dr who toys?

my grandson is absolutely mad on dr who and he has the remote control k-9 and dalek.we bought the k-9 off ebay and there was no remote with it so i searched the internet and found a place in manchester that had them,but i can't find the company now.does anyone know where i can get these remotes from as he has broke both of them and he's going spare without them!! Corsaire Gas Furnace by Rheem?

I have a Rheem Corsaire gas furnace that is giving me problems. When I turn the thermostat up it cycles on, exhausts the gas, the igniter warms up, the gas comes on and the burner lights. It stays on for about 15 seconds before the gas stops and the flames go out. If I leave it on then the blower motor circulates cold air. The cycle will continue with the furnace continually being cold and blowing cold air. I have cleaned the electronic eye sensors (3 of them - one left, one right, and one looking down). without any change. Do they have reset buttons? Can the entire system be reset?





Can anyone help me with this problem?|||You have a bad flame sensor. It is a metal rod with a wire attached to it in direct contact with the flame. It should be in line with the burner farthest from the ignitor. It is a real pain to get out but you can take it out and scrub it lightly with one of those green dish scrubbing pads(definitely not sandpaper). Put it back in and try it again. If it still will not prove flame you will need to replace that flame sensor. BTW the copper thermocouple is for use on standing pilot units that do not have ignitors and maintains the pilot lit. You don't have this type.|||There is a thermocouple that tell unit flame is on. If it goes bad this will happen.


It looks like a very small copper line that goes into the fire box. Buy and install a new one you should be ok.|||b

Should females really be encouraged to "game"?

I don't understand why one would condone encouraging the vulnerable young minds of today's female youth to start gaming. They are not naturally blessed with the intensive hand-eye coordination skills required for electronic gaming.





Not to mention that they shouldn't be exposed and allowed to bond with their dirty-minded, hormone-driven male counterparts in such a setting.|||To be honest I don't really think its encouraged that females play video games and the girls that do game are most likely to have started from brothers, boyfriends or just friends. I'm a girl that plays xbox and it all started because my boyfriend played xbox. I would go over to his house to see him and he would just sit on his xbox half the time playing all them shooting games. He then decided to buy a new xbox and gave me his old one. I was just going to use it to watch dvds on my tv in my room. My boyfriend then gave me a game that had all these different mini games on it coz he thought I might like it. I started playing a few of them and they became quite fun. He then started joining me into his games that are two player and from then on we always play xbox together. Its not something we do constantly when we see each other. if we just want a night in we will lay on the bed together with a bowl of chippies or popcorn and try and achieve the goals in the game to finish it completely. Its kinda like a little bonding time. We do it instead of watching movies, which is more interactive and fun.





My advice to girls whose boyfriends play a lot of games is to get involved with it because it is a lot of fun when playing together. AND with things like xbox, you can talk to each other over the chat so when your not together your able to talk as well as play together.

Gaming has been around for the past 25+ years but back then Gaming wasn't as widely accepted as it is now. It was considered a nerd thing and such but you fail to realize that even young girls were sitting alongside their brothers back in 1985 playing Super Mario Bros on the NES. Why are you stereotyping Females by saying that you think they lack the "intensive hand-eye coordination" to play the modern games of today. I know so many females who play Xbox 360 and PS3 (not just the games like on the Wii which most guys seem to classify as a "chick console") and not only the more casual games but the hardcore shooters and blood and guts games as well and on top of that all are reasonably good and i would go so far as to say are better than many males. To say that females should be discouraged from gaming is a very narrow-minded statement. Yes there are negative influences mainly ONLINE but that doesn't necessarily mean that everyone has to play online on Call of Duty to be considered a "Gamer". If you enjoy doing something than do it even if it bothers certain people like you.|||there is no philosophy to gaming. You just pick up the controller and go. Gaming is directed to everyone, its not like there is only one game to play. Girls can play, boys can play. Its your desicion.





And i know you are referring to the Call of Duty series. Think about it. At any one time there are over a million people online across the world. Can you honestly label 1.5 million people as "dirty-minded, hormone-driven males?" Sure there are people who swear and throw slang but thats a handful. And there is no handicaps between males and females in gaming. It really depends how much practice you have. I admit I've been wooped around by girls in COD and likewise with boys. Its something everyone does.

Believe or not to believe that Phelps won Cavic by 10-thousandth of a second in his 7th Gold Win?

Is it that LUCKY-7 that play the part for him. The naked eyes cannot see it only the electronic eye can see. What a great thing to believe in this IT age? What is your opinion?


I have decided that he will win the 8th Gold and had given in one of my answers on Michael's performmmance. Do you believe he can do it?|||YES! I watched yesterday and too was amazed - and doubtful might I add - but today I wanted to see what was actually exchanged by the officials, the Serbians, and the US teams.





The officials spent quite some time testing the technologies used, the timing equipment - like the touchpad and its sensitivity - the video equipments, etc., and of course replayed the videos and broke them into tiny time increments and frames that they say clearly show Phelps winning. FINA (the name for international swimming officials organization or something) "determined the timing and video were working perfectly. And they broke the tape down to the 1/10,000th of a second and a couple of definitive frames showed Phelps winning."





"Phelps had not simply won by a 100th of a second, which is what the clock showed, 50.58 to 50.59, but actually by a couple 10,000ths of a second. This is an indefinable amount of time, quicker than the time it takes to blink, snap or do just about anything," the McClatchy Newspaper of Kansas City reports. I suppose it was not that visible in real time because Phelps won by a few 10,000ths of a second, which the article says in this time we can do just about nothing but blink. It's crazy, but true! I'm pretty sure I blinked during Phelps' win, so I'm sure I missed the great win.





After the review, "Serbian officials then reviewed tape then basically said 'OK, you are right.'" Cavic even admitted to the loss, saying "'To lose by a hundredth of a second is the most difficult loss you can have, especially at the Olympics. And I did see the replays.'"





I couldn't see the win for myself because it was so close, but hey, they got it solved, and both Phelps and Cavic should be proud. It was a very well fought race.

|||I've said it before and I'll say it again. Michael Phelps is a true Champion in all sense of the word. He has beaten all odds to be who he is today. He has faced adversity but turned it to his advantage. We can all take a leaf from his achievements. He is an inspiration to us all. Three Cheers!
