The human eye can take in 62 photons of light with a wave lenght of 525 (nm). what is the energy in volts (eV)
iv done this problem so ma ways and have had much trouble with it. what i tried was speed of light/wavelength to get frequency, then frequency*packs constant to get energy in joules, than converted joules to eV (electronic volts) i don't know what i am doing wrong?|||You are on the right track. The energy of a single photon is E = h nu = h c/lambda, and will turn out to be about two electron volts. Multiply by 62 to get about 120 electron volts.
