Why does there seem to be voting problems in Election '08 when we saw it coming for months and years?

There are reports of people voting for Obama on electronic machines and the vote switching to McCain before their eyes. There are long lines at early voting sites. I can't imagine what will happen on Nov 4. What are your thoughts?|||There are always reports of something or the other, and I highly doubt that the voter kiosks are preprgrammed to change Obama votes to McCain votes if the vote is switching right before their eyes than it can be fixed before they officially cast their ballot. I think this it what one would call a voting urban myth. The issue here is were lacking chads so people now have to make this stuff up. As for long lines deal with it, it only goes to show the good voter turn out. Quite frankly I would be more worried about recent laws in some states that may throw out certain votes due to a voters information not matching exactly what is on file, or absentee ballots that forgot to include a photocopy of their identification than kiosk malfunction.|||That people lie to get on the news.|||Media hype. No system is foolproof and if I publicize one case enough you will believe it is all over.|||Yeah, those damn Republicans are at it again: rigging voting machines, hiring thugs to deny people entry to their polling stations, using thick paper so the chads won't fall off.

Oops, maybe I jumped the gun -- where is the source for the premise of your question?
