Is it possible 2 implant AN ARTIFICIAL EYE FOR MY LEFT EYE. SOMETHING THAT LOOKS N WORKS LIKE AN ORGINAL EYE ?

SOMETHING LIKE AN ELECTRONIC EYE.... I HAVE ONLY A DAMAGED EYE BALL AND LENS IN MY LEFT EYE. SO I WANT A TREATMENT.|||You can have a false eye but you will never be able to see out of it. If you have a damaged cornea, they can do a cornea transplant, but they cannot yet replace the entire eye and restore vision to it. There is no electrical eye or bionic eye - yet. But I'm sure in the future they will be able to do that.|||It would look like a real eye, but there is no "electronic" replacement that works like a real eye. They can do repair surgery. You should talk to an ophthalmologist about surgery options.|||i dont think that there is an electric eye maybe if you where to talk to your doctor he can recomend you someone.|||THE THREE MILLION AMERICANS WHO ARE BLIND OR HAVE LOW VISION MAY BENEFIT FROM DEVICES UNDER DEVELOPMENT AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (USC) , STANFORD UNIVERSITY, AND SECOND SIGHT OF NEW YORK. THE USC PROSTHESIS WAS TO BE IMPLANTED IN TEST SUBJECTS LAST FALL OF '06. THE BIONIC EYE FITS INTO OR OVER THE EYE AND STIMULATES THE RETINA TO RESTORE SIGHT. EXPERTS ESTIMATE THESE COULD BE AVAILABLE IN 2 OT 4 YEARS ; COST YET TO BE DETERMINED.|||I've never seen an 'electric eye'. If you have a prosthetic eye placed, it will never fully function like a regular eye ever. A prosthetic will match your natural eye as close as possible and depending on how much optical muscle you have, you may even be able to turn it side to side depending on which way you look, but they often get dry and gunky without you knowing it. Make sure you carry visine (or whatever they tell you is ok to use) with you at all times.
